US media reports confirm the unfortunate passing of Mike Batayeh, renowned for his role as the manager of a laundromat turned meth lab in the hit series Breaking Bad. The actor and comedian passed away at the age of 52 in his sleep at his home in Michigan on June 1, due to a sudden heart attack. Batayeh’s family expressed shock as he had no history of heart issues.

Known as Dennis Markowski in Breaking Bad, Batayeh appeared in three episodes of the acclaimed drama series from 2011. His character managed the Lavandería Brillante industrial laundromat, a front for a massive meth lab operation. Beyond Breaking Bad, Batayeh had a versatile career as a comedian and voice actor, featuring in films such as American Dreamz and Detroit Unleaded, as well as TV shows like The Bernie Mac Show and CSI: Miami. He also contributed as a voice actor in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Remembered as a beloved friend and talented individual, Batayeh’s sudden loss deeply impacted colleagues and co-stars. Hollywood director Rola Nashef described him as everyone’s friend, able to make anyone laugh, think, and feel inspired.
Yorg Kerasiotis, Batayeh’s co-star in Detroit Unleaded, fondly remembers him as an exceptional talent and one of the wittiest individuals he had ever encountered. Tributes poured in from those who admired his work and knew him personally, expressing their condolences and wishing him eternal peace.

Survived by five siblings and a large extended family, Mike Batayeh leaves behind a legacy of laughter and memorable performances.
